Sealed bids will be received by the City of Anacortes (“City”) until 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at the office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Municipal Building, P.O. Box 547, 904 6th Street, Anacortes, WA 98221, for the following equipment purchase: PERISTALTIC CHEMICAL METERING AND TRANSFER PUMPS. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid after the deadline for the submittal of bids. Bids properly received will be publicly opened and read at the City of Anacortes following the deadline for the submission of bids. Project Description: The project provides for the purchase and delivery of four (4) peristaltic chemical metering pumps, and one (1) peristaltic chemical transfer pump, all in accordance with the Invitation to Bid, Contract, General Conditions, and the Specifications. The City of Anacortes reserves the right to reject any bid, any portion of any bid and/or to reject all bids. The City of Anacortes further reserves the right, but without obligation, to waive informalities and irregularities. Bids will be evaluated based on capital cost, operational cost, and operation and maintenance requirements for the equipment. The City reserves the right to award the equipment purchase contract (“Purchase Contract”) to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interest of the City. The Bidder to whom the Purchase Contract is awarded shall execute and return the Contract to the City within ten (10) calendar days from the date the Notice of Award is mailed to the Bidder. In case of failure of the Bidder to execute the Contract, the Bidder shall be in default, and the City shall have the right to award the Purchase Contract to the next lowest responsive, responsible Bidder.
