The City of Anacortes is accepting submittals of qualifications from consulting firms with expertise in Civil and Structural Engineering Design to provide services related to the following project: R Avenue Long-Term Improvement Project #20-127-TRN. This agreement will be for approximately two years in duration with the option for the City of Anacortes to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. The City of Anacortes reserves the right to amend terms of this RFQ to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. Project. The work to be performed by the Consultant consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for improvements to R Avenue at the 30th and 34th street intersection, and Q Avenue between 30th and 32nd streets. The proposed improvements include constructing a roundabout at 30th Street and R Avenue, which will include improving Q Avenue between 30th Street and 32nd Street, making R Avenue at 32nd a right turn only intersection, closing the gaps in the existing boulevard median in R Avenue to make all intersections, except for 30th and 22nd right-in-right-out (RIRO) only intersections, and street lighting. This project is funded by a HIPUS-STPUS-6239(002) grant, will use federal funds, and has a 4% UDBE goal. The project will be held to Federal EEO requirements.
