Pursuant to, and in compliance with, RCW 39.80, the City of Anacortes is currently inviting qualified consultants to submit proposals for engineering services to develop an update to the City’s Water System Plan (WSP). The intent of the WSP update is to independently assess and evaluate the City’s existing water system facilities; develop 20-year water demand projections; evaluate the City’s available water supply sources; develop a calibrated distribution system hydraulic model; prepare system evaluation that addresses capacity, operational, and rehabilitation and replacement needs for the next 20 years; and develop a risk-based capital improvement program for recommended existing and future water system improvements. The selected consultant shall provide the full range of services for plan development including project management and obtaining data and information from City staff and applicable City consultants.
