Description
The City of Anacortes will accept sealed bids addressed to Steve Hoglund, City Clerk, City of Anacortes, 904 6th Street, P O Box 547, Anacortes, Washington, 98221, until 10:00 am, local time on April 3, 2018, when bids will be publicly opened and read. The City will not consider bids received after that time and date. Project Description: The project provides for the preparation and installation of Slurry Seal Type II to existing asphalt streets, pavement marking removal and replacement, street surface preparation, herbicide application, vegetation trimming, minor structural patching, street sweeping and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Site location: City of Anacortes, Sections 22,23,26,27 T35N, R1E, W.M. Skagit County. Physical Completion shall be achieved within Forty (40) Working Days from the date work begins, in accordance with the Notice To Proceed. Bid Deposit: Bidders must submit a bid deposit equal to 5 percent of the bid amount. The deposit may be in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond. Title VI – Language on Civil Rights Act of 1964: “The City of Anacortes in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.” Project Documents: Plans, specification, addenda, bidders list, and plan holders list for this project are available through the City of Anacortes on-line plan room.
