Contractors who bid on this project must be registered on the City’s Small Works Roster at https://mrscrosters.org/ by the time that bids are due.The City of Anacortes will accept sealed bids for “2023 Fidalgo Avenue Waterline Replacement #23-035-WTR-001” addressed to Steve Hoglund, City Clerk, City of Anacortes, 904 6th Street, P.O. Box 547, Anacortes, Washington, 98221, until 1:30 p.m., local time on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The City will not consider bids received after that time and date. The work provided for this project will include all materials, equipment, labor and related items necessary to install approximately 1000 LF of 8” ductile iron water main, make tie-ins to the existing water system, reconnect to existing fire hydrants, renew/reconnect existing water services, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.The City of Anacortes, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
