Description
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the City of Arlington Public Works Department, 154 W. Cox, Arlington, Washington 98223, until 2:00 PM local time on July 24, 2025, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to perform the project. The Engineer’s estimate for the project is $393,000.00. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting has been scheduled at 10:00 AM local time on July 17, 2025, to be held at the Public Works Department, address above. Work shall include provision of labor, equipment materials to construct a Pickleball Court and described and detailed in the Project Manual and construction documents. Work includes mobilization, grading, compaction, concrete flatwork, sidewalk and curb ramp construction, retaining wall construction, fencing, and site restoration. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Documents for this project and any Addenda issued thereto, which are on file with the City of Arlington Public Works Department. Proposals received after the date and time stated above will not be considered. Immediately following the deadline for submission, the proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Stillaguamish Conference Room at the Public Works Administration Building located at 154 W. Cox Ave, Arlington, WA 98223. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided with the contract documents. All proposals must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a certified or cashier’s check, or bid bond, for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, including additives and alternates, if any. Refer to Instructions to Bidders for more information. Should the successful Bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Arlington. Plans and specifications are available for viewing at the City of Arlington Public Works Department, 154 W. Cox Ave, Arlington, Washington 98223. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to BXWA and clicking on Posted Projects, Public Works, and City of Arlington. This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. It is recommended that Bidders Register in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the Self-Registered Bidders List. Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the online plan room for addenda issued on this project. Harvesting of any project information and/or project documents for purposes of reselling and/or redistributing information by any other party is not allowed by BXWA. The City of Arlington expressly reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive minor irregularities or informalities, and to further make award of the project to the lowest responsible Bidder as it best serves the interest of the City of Arlington. No proposal may be withdrawn after the time stated above, or before Award of Contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days after opening of the proposals, or Bidder withdraws proposal due to error in accordance with Section 1-03.1 of the WSDOT Standard Specifications. The City of Arlington, in accordance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, will affirmatively ensure nondiscrimination and full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation for disadvantaged business enterprises.
