An optional pre-bid site walk will be held on site at 11:00 AM on Friday February 9th, 2024. All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond, on the form provided, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2023 edition, as issued by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the American Public Works Association (APWA), Washington State Chapter, (Standard Specifications) as amended by the Amendments to the Standard Specifications and Special Provisions, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island. The work includes installing 2,046 lineal feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, 1,029 lineal feet of 2-inch polyethylene water main, trenchless and open trench service lines down private driveways, water meters, and associated pavement, shoulder, and landscape restoration.The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
