NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS City of Bainbridge Island - Public Works Department Bainbridge Island, WA 98110 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be received by the City of Bainbridge Island for the CITY HALL BUILDING IMPROVEMENTS until 9:30 am, November 20, 2024, 1:00 PM November 21, 2024 at the City Clerk’s office, 280 Madison Avenue N., Bainbridge Island, Washington, 98110 and will be opened and publicly read out loud at 10:00 AM on November 20, 2024. A job walkthrough will be held on November 6, 2024, at 10:00 AM at City Hall, 280 Madison Avenue N, Bainbridge Island, Washington 98110. All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond, on the form provided, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory payment and performance bonds within the time stated in the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract prepared by Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee, then the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bainbridge Island. Plans and specifications will only be provided through the QuestCDN website; however, a hard copy set of project documents will be available to view at the City Hall, Engineering front counter. Bids must be sealed with the outside of the envelope marked by the PROJECT NAME AND BID OPENING DATE. The name and address of the bidder should also appear on the outside of the envelope. Faxed or electronic bids and/or surety bonds will not be accepted. After the date and hour set for the opening of bids, no bidder may withdraw its bid unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding 90 working days following the bid opening. All bidders agree to be bound by their bids until the expiration of the stated time period. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must meet the mandatory responsibility criteria required by RCW 39.04.350 and any supplemental criteria described in the Contract Documents.
