City of Bainbridge Island - Engineering Division Statement of Qualifications - Madison Avenue Sidewalks The City of Bainbridge Island is soliciting detailed statements of qualifications from consultant firms with experience in street and sidewalk design for improvements to the Madison Avenue Sidewalks project. Project Description The work to be performed by the consultant consists of preparing engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for improvements to the Madison Avenue sidewalks, located between Wyatt Way and High School Rd. The project provides for reconstruction and widening of sidewalks on the east side of Madison Avenue including ADA accessible ramps, as well as the retrofit of sidewalks on the west side for ADA compliance. Design elements include concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, driveway ramps, planter strips, landscaping, storm water structures, storm water laterals, and other related work. The consultant will also be responsible for acquiring physical survey data. A Federal Aid Grant has been awarded for construction funds. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for subsequent construction engineering, construction administration, construction inspection and materials testing phases associated with this project.
