All bid proposals must be on the form provided and must be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cashier’s check, postal money order, or surety bond, on the form provided, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid proposal. The amount of the surety bond may be stated either as a dollar amount or as a percentage of the bid proposal. PROJECT NAME: SCADA WATER AND SEWER TELEMETRY UPGRADES PROJECT SEALED BIDS DUE: 9:30 AM, April 2, 2021 BID OPENING: 10:00 AM, April 2, 2021 NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the following major elements: Demolition/installation at the following sites with listed components (but not limited to – see full plan set for details): Creosote Tank – replace a tone telemetry RTU with new DSL enabled model; Connect new sensors such as submersible level transmitter and high-water float, hatch limit switch, door entry switch, and manual transfer switch; Taylor Well – replace a tone telemetry RTU with new model and reconnect existing instruments; Ericksen PRV and Ferncliff PRV – replace/install new a tone telemetry RTU with new model, install micro-switches for Cla-Val valve conversion, install two pressure transducers, high water float, and hatch entry switch; Erickson PRV – install bollard, splash pad, and 4 in. diam. PVC discharge pipe; Ferncliff PRV – install equipment pad, landscape wall, and bollards; Lower Lovell Lift Station, Woodward Lift Station, Ferry Terminal Lift Station, and Klickitat Lift Station, Island Terrace Lift Station – replace tone telemetry RTUs with new model, install new sensors including floats and submersible level transmitter, review and correct existing motor controller logic wiring, connect existing and new sensors; North Town Woods Lift Station and Lynwood Center Lift Station – upgrades to provide the float redundancy for additional spill protection using intrinsically safe relay enclosure with float backup; Sakai Lift Station - replace tone telemetry RTU with new model, install pressure transducer and two-level floats, intrinsically safe relay/float backup kit. The City of Bainbridge Island reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in the bidding process. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
