228th Street SE & 29th Drive SE Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements COB Project # 80000419 Federal Aid Project STPUL-2570(010) Notice is hereby given that the City of Bothell will receive sealed bids for the following construction project. Bids will be received by the receptionist inside Bothell City Hall, located at 18415 101st Ave NE, (425) 806-6100, in the City of Bothell, Washington up to the hour of 10:00 AM, as determined by the designated bid clock at said location, on December 23, 2016, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read to determine the apparent lowest bidder. A DBE goal of 9% and prevailing wage requirements are in effect. The 228th Street SE & 29th Drive SE Traffic Signal and Intersection Improvements Project proposes to install a new signal, illumination, pedestrian ramp improvements, and other miscellaneous work. The general aspects of this work will involve traffic control, signal and electrical work, curb ramp replacements, and striping. The total estimated cost for this project is in the range of $300,000 to $400,000. The number of working days for Physical Completion of this project is 45. Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to www.bxwa.com (http://www.bxwa.com) and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "City of Bothell". It is recommended that Bidders “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the online plan room for addenda issued on this project. The City of Bothell in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Financing of the project has been provided by STP Regional. The City of Bothell reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to further make award of the project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interest of the City. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions.
