INFORMATION SHEET REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS Bothell Playgrounds Assessment and Fully-Inclusive Conceptual Design Project Description of Project The City of Bothell Parks and Recreation Department (City) is requesting Statements of Qualifications from firms and non-profits qualified and interested in providing professional services for the Bothell Playgrounds Assessment and Fully-Inclusive Conceptual Design Project. This project is associated with the future replacement of five (5) neighborhood composite playground structures and two (2) community park composite playground structures. The City seeks to assess opportunities and constraints of all seven playgrounds and engage our community in the development of design alternatives with the end goal of developing conceptual design for one preferred neighborhood park playground and one preferred community park playground. It is essential that the playground designs meet the social, emotional, and physical needs of people of all ages and abilities, feature fully explorable play areas, and foster intergenerational exchange between children and older adults. Key project elements include landscape architecture, fully inclusive multi-generational playground design, public outreach and engagement, alternative design analysis, estimating, conceptual design development, and examination creative funding solutions. This project will be funded with City Park Impact Fees.
