Description

The City of Bothell Public Works Department is requesting Statements of Qualifications from firms qualified and interested in providing professional services for the 19th Ave SE / 232nd St SE / 23rd Ave SE Non-motorized Improvements Project. This project will consist of three sidewalk segments along: 1) West side of 19th Ave SE between 228th St SE and 232nd St SE; 2) North side of 232nd St SE between 19th Ave SE and 20th Ave SE; 3) East side of 23rd Ave SE between a newly constructed sidewalk and 236th St SE. The proposed improvements include installing 1) a 5-foot sidewalk, curb and gutter, ADA ramps and driveway approaches on one side of the streets, 2) a 5-foot bicycle lane on both sides of the streets, 3) pedestrian crosswalks at three intersections, and 4) traffic calming devices such as Rectangular Rapid Flash Beacons (RRFBs) and pedestrian crosswalk flags. Funding for this project will include local, State, and Federal sources. All aspects of this project will need to comply with the requirements of the funding agencies, including FHWA.
