The City of Bothell, Department of Public Works solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in environmental assessment and remediation of soil and groundwater contamination. Project Description: Provide technical expertise for the remediation of contaminated soil and groundwater for various sites in downtown Bothell. It is anticipated that the consultant work for these projects will be authorized in phases through an on-call contract. Work will include, but is not limited to, remedial design, construction support services, environmental permitting, public involvement and assessment work as needed. The selected consultant will have the capability to complete all phases so that, at the option of the City, the selected consultant may be contracted to complete any or all of the phases. Some of the key elements of work are as follows: Assist City staff with the oversight, management, planning, assessment, remedial design, and construction support services for downtown Bothell contamination assessment and cleanup of various contaminated sites. Assist in obtaining state and federal grant funding Work with the State of Washington Department of Ecology on formal Agreed Orders and Consent Decrees. This could include but is not limited to: - Developing, implementing, and reporting of remedial investigations and feasibility studies (RI/FS) and cleanup plans. - Remedial design including development of plans, specifications and cost estimates. - Providing construction support services during remediation. Coordinate with existing environmental and engineering consultants that are currently working on multiple distinct projects within the downtown Bothell area to create and implement the overall downtown remediation plan. Provide miscellaneous environmental assessment, remedial design, and construction support services for multiple projects within the downtown Bothell area as needed, to support engineering design, right-of-way acquisitions, environmental permitting documentation, private development and construction. Provide technical support in litigation matters
