Description
The City seeks Requests for Proposals for the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Plan by February 1, 2019 at 4 p.m. RFP Question Responses are available. Plan and Spec Available: Tentative Schedule. The following schedule may be modified as a result of consultant proposals and contract negotiations: February 1, 2019 RFP Deadline (4:00 PM Pacific Time); March 18, 2019 Project Start; December 31, 2019 Project Completion. Primary Objectives include: Prepare and implement a comprehensive community outreach plan, especially to underserved and underrepresented communities for the PROS Plan update; conduct and prepare a recreation demand study; conduct and prepare a youth/young adult amenity study; conduct and prepare a condition assessment report of major park assets; prepare and recommend capital projects for the next 6 years including cost estimates; develop a planning document for Bothell’s Park system for the next several years. Project Components include Background Information Review, Public Outreach, Youth/Young Adult Amenity Study, Recreation Demand Study, Outdoor Asset Condition Assessments, and Prepare Useful, Readable Planning Document with action plan and capital improvements; The City will adopt level of service standards and evaluate funding opportunities as applicable. Estimated Budget: $65,000-75,000.

Electronic proposal in PDF not to exceed 20 megabytes; emailed to nik.stroup@bothellwa.gov and tracey.perkosky@bothellwa.gov by the February 1, 2019 deadline; six hard copies submitted; one copy of the fees in a separate sealed envelope labeled “Fees.” Proposals must be received by 4:00 PM Pacific Time on February 1, 2019. Submittals must be in 8-1/2” x 11” format and shall not exceed twenty-five (25) pages, including cover letter.
