Description
The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of developing planning documents, procurement support, environmental permitting, and preliminary engineering design for retrofitting ASCT at five (5) existing signalized intersections along the SR 303 corridor including Sheridan Road, Sylvan Way, Broad Street, Hollis Street, and Riddell Road. Development of planning documents will include a systems engineering study to identify an ASCT and ITS infrastructure plan including a City operation plan and a future centralized Traffic Management Center (TMC) ultimately guiding specifications for the procurement of ASCT equipment/software for the project. Preliminary engineering will include development of construction plans, specifications, and estimates to fully implement ASCT along the SR 303 corridor at locations included in the project including traffic signal design and equipment modifications including area communications upgrades serving the traffic signals.This is a federally funded project and has a mandatory 14% DBE goal for the Preliminary Engineering phase. The City of Bremerton reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm for any subsequent project phases (such as Right-of-Way and Construction Phase Services) associated with this project.
