This project, as more completely described in the Contract Documents, generally include construction of the following: A new lift station 9A will be retrofitted at the existing Lift Station 9 site in two separate phases. The bidding for this project shall include all work associated with Phase 1 of the project and shall be constructed in accordance with the applicable Drawings and Specifications, as described in the Contract Documents. Sixty (60) workings days are allotted for this construction. Bid proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Gig Harbor. No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The City of Gig Harbor reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process.
