This contract generally provides for the water main replacement on Stinson Avenue between Pioneer Way and Rosedale Street; Grandview Street between Stinson Avenue and Pioneer Way and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Work shall start within ten (10) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued to the contractor and shall be substantially complete in accordance with Section 1-08.5 of the Special Provisions. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Gig Harbor. No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days.
