INVITATION TO BIDDERS Harborview Drive and Stinson Avenue Intersection Improvements ProjectCity Project No. CSP-1904TIB Project No. 8-1-127(009)-1 The City of Gig Harbor requests sealed bid proposals for construction of the Harborview Drive and Stinson Avenue Intersection Improvements Project (CSP-1904). This contract generally provides for full depth pavement replacement at the intersection of Harborview Drive and Stinson Avenue, construction of a roundabout, planing and overlay of sections of both roadways, storm drainage, waterline, and sanitary sewer system improvements, retaining walls, cement concrete curb, gutter, and sidewalk, a pedestrian walkway and driveway improvements, rectangular rapid flashing beacons and illumination, channelization, landscaping and a modified existing irrigation system, adjusting utility appurtenances, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Special Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the contract documents, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Gig Harbor. No bidder may withdraw their bid proposal after the time fixed for opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding thirty (30) days. The City of Gig Harbor reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process.
