Description
The City of Gig Harbor Public Works Department (city) is soliciting for a qualified engineering firm to complete the design and permitting of a connection trail between Harborview Drive and the Cushman Trail north of the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The design and permitting effort for the project is scheduled to be completed in late 2024 with construction beginning in spring 2025, depending on available funding.

Eligibility Criteria
The City will evaluate all applicants based on the technical merit and demonstrated experience of project staff in civil infrastructure design, local, state, and federal permitting, and proven positive interaction with community stakeholders.

Special Requirements
Scope of Work Within two (2) weeks of the City's selection, the successful candidate will be expected to submit a complete scope of services. The scope must include a break-down of individual project staff and their estimated hours as it relates to each project task as outlined in Section 1 above, as well as a schedule for completing the project. The total estimated costs of all tasks will be used to finalize the contract amount. If scope of work cannot be agreed upon, the selection panel will meet and select another candidate from the original RFQ submittals and re-start the scope of work process with another candidate.
