The City of Gig Harbor (City) requests bids for the purchase of materials to replace an asbestos cement water main and associated water services. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Public Works Department, City of Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview Street, Gig Harbor, Washington, 98335. Bid proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, or bid bond, in an amount equal to 5 percent (5%) of the bid proposal. Bidders are advised that if the successful bidder fails to execute and return the contract with the City as set forth hereunder, and furnish satisfactory insurance certificate within ten (10) calendar days after bid award, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City, and the City reserves the right to award the contract to the next lowest bidder, and each successive bidder, until the conditions of the award are met, at the City’s sole discretion.
