The City of Mount Vernon is accepting sealed bid proposals for the Maintenance Solid Waste Building project. Bids will be received by the City’s Public Works Department until 2:00 pm, March 31, 2021, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. Bids will be delivered to 1024 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, WA. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. Work is anticipated to be completed by June 30, 2021, final schedule is negotiable. Work includes design, permitting and construction of a 12’ x 30’ single story addition to the Solid Waste Admin Building located at 409 W Fir Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. This addition to the admin building will extend the first floor of the lunchroom/meeting area into a portion of the existing vehicle storage bay. The overall floor area of the addition is to be 12’ x 30’ feet. Contractor must pay prevailing wages.
