Description

Sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Mount Vernon at the office of the City Finance Director, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, WA 98273 until 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. Bids should be clearly marked "2014 Sanitary Sewer Lining." A pre-bid meeting will be held on site at the corner of Hazel Street and Douglas Street in Mount Vernon, at 10:00 am, on Tuesday April 1, 2014, to allow bidders to review the site conditions. The work to be performed under this contract includes lining of approximately 256 LF of 42" diameter sanitary sewer pipe with cured in place pipe (CIPP) and 3,300 LF of 6" - 8" diameter sanitary sewer pipe with CIPP or Folded PVC pipe (Contractor's option) meeting the requirements of the specifications. The apparent low bidder is Insituform Technologies with their bid of $258,858.22. Two bids were received.
