Sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Mount Vernon at the office of the City Finance Director, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. Bids must be received no later than 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. Envelopes must be clearly marked: College Way and LaVenture Road Safety Improvements and Citywide Safety Improvements. This contract provides for the improvement of multiple traffic signal locations city wide. Work includes replacement of existing traffic signal controllers, replacement of existing traffic signal controller cabinets, installation of video detection systems at existing traffic signals, installation of an Accessible Pedestrian System (APS) at one location, replacement of existing sidewalk and curb ramps at one location, replacement of existing signal heads at multiple locations, installation of reflective tape on existing signal heads at multiple locations, and other work, all in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications.
