Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Mount Vernon until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at the Finance Director's Office at City Hall, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, Washington 98273 for the Downtown Flood Protection Project - Phase 2 and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of the improvements. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. The work to be performed will include the furnishings of all labor, materials, services, equipment and incidentals necessary to make the improvements as shown in the plans and described in these specifications as briefly outlined below: Construction fo approximately 1,650 linear feet of architecturally treated concrete and sheet pile floodwall to provide flood protection to the City of Mount Vernon, construction of eleven (11) stop log closures, construction of concrete pedestrian pathways, reconstruction of a portion of Main Street, construction of parking lots, construction of a public plaza, construction of concrete curbing and sidewalks, and installation of pedestrian hand railing. The improvements also include conduit, wiring, fixtures and other electrical appurtenances for project illumination.

Sealed bids for the Downtown Flood Protection Project - Phase 2; bids must be received by 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 2013 at the Finance Director's Office, City Hall, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, WA 98273; bids will be opened publicly at that time.
