The City of Mount Vernon is accepting sealed bid proposals for the 2019 Street & Curb Ramp Improvements project. The deadline for submitting bids is September 5, 2019, at 11:00 am. Bids should be submitted to the City of Mount Vernon, Finance director, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. Bids will be opened and read at the above location and time. It is anticipated-not required, that work would be completed by December 1, 2019, with a project duration of 45 calendar days. This contract provides for the improvement of portions of Anderson Road in Mount Vernon from between Old Highway 99 through the roundabout at Cedardale and portions of Cedardale to the South and North of the roundabout. The project includes the removal of bituminous pavement, splitter curbing, guideposts, pavement markers, sidewalk, curb ramps, curb and gutter, signage, and other items from the roadway. The project also includes construction and installation of hot mix asphalt roadway, roundabout central island, roundabout splitter islands, roundabout truck apron, mountable curb, traffic curb and gutter, flexible guideposts, pavement markers, thermoplastic pavement markings, signage, paint striping, adjusting and or installing new manhole rings and covers, adjusting water valve boxes, protecting survey monuments, providing temporary traffic control and other work.
