Sealed bid proposals will be received by the City of Mount Vernon at the office of the City Finance Director, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, Washington, 98273 until 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013, at which time the bids will be opened and publicly read. Bids should be clearly marked “2013 Street Overlay (REET).” The work to be performed under this contract shall include asphalt planing, asphalt paving, and slurry seal on various streets within the City of Mount Vernon. Bids were opened May 8, 2014; there were two bidders. The apparent low bid was Lakeside Industries with a bid amount of $332,834.30. Engineer's Estimate is $340,000.
