The City of Mount Vernon is soliciting proposals for the construction of a 40' x 60', clear span, steel truss, free standing metal roof for the Public Works Maintenance Shop located at 405 W Fir Street, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. This structure is intended to be an S-1 occupancy. The successful firm will have the capability to design, permit, and construct the required structure to the City's specifications outlined below: Disadvantaged, minority and women-owned consultant firms, contractors and sub-contractors are encouraged to respond. Project Description: The existing Maintenance Shop is a 45' x 75' clear span, steel truss structure with an approximately 60' x 60' paved storage area on the north side of the building. This storage area is where the new free standing roof structure is to be located. There is a six inch storm pipe (roof drains) that will have to be relocated to an alignment outside of the new structure foot print and tied into an existing catch basin just west of the new footprint.
