The purpose of this solicitation is to contract with a pool of vendors to provide Electrician Services as needed by the City of Seattle. The City would call the contractors when small jobs are needed, where each specific work order is estimated to be less than $200,000 in value. City departments will request quotes from one or more of the contractors in the pool. Contractors will provide quotes using the pricing outlined in the contract, while referencing National Electrical Code, National Electrical Safety Code or other standard approved by the National Electrical Contractors Association and the American National Standards Institute. These contracts are not to be used for Public Works projects.When electrician services are needed, the City may use the contracts awarded as a result of this solicitation or may perform this work in-house. The City does not have an estimate as to how much work may be available for a Contractor. There may be few or no projects in a given year, or there may be a significant amount of work. The City spent $1,960,048 with the six (6) contactors in the existing pool during 2024. The primary users are Seattle Public Utilities, Finance and Administrative Services, Seattle City Light, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Parks and Recreation, and Seattle Center. The contracts awarded as a result of this solicitation will replace the existing pool of contracts.
