Project Description: Park addition project incorporating new play area features and revising existing paving to provide an accessible entrance to the Seattle Public Library. Project includes tree vegetation and soil protection; demolition of existing pavement and walls; clearing and grubbing of site; tree removal; site regrading; removal, protection and replacement of existing artwork. Removal and haul of contaminated rubble, vegetation and soil, loading onto trucks or bins to an approved Waste Management facility, truck and bin availability to be coordinated by contractor, soil disposal by others. Import fill; accessible concrete paving; cast-in-place concrete curbs and walls; installation of new play equipment and surfacing; handrails; plantings and site furnishings. New trees, shrubs and vegetation; new storm and irrigation utilities, connections, and appurtenances. This project includes one alternate and two additives: Alternate 1 – Play Pavement Band, Additive 1 – Second Café Table, and Additive 2 – Second Trash and Recycling.
