Summary

Project Description: This project includes new sidewalk construction and pedestrian safety improvements consisting of the following work: pavement restoration, sidewalks, curb and gutter, curb ramps, storm drain infrastructure, landscaping, signage, and channelization. This project will include signal conduits and handholes for a future half signal at Greenwood Ave N/N 134th St. For the purpose of the Bidder Subcontractor list, this project includes rebar installation and electrical work.Engineer's Estimate: $4,300,000 to $4,400,000Project Location: Greenwood Ave N from N 137th St to N 133rd St and from N 117th St to N 112th St

Background

This Project is a Covered Project subject to the City of Seattle’s Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) and Priority Hire SMC 20.37. With the support of the mayor and City Council, the City of Seattle administers programs that support racial and economic equity through contracting. Priority Hire is one of these programs. Priority Hire provides people living in economically distressed communities, women, and people of color access to work on the city’s construction projects. It gives contractors access to these skilled workers.
