Summary

The City of Seattle is seeking comprehensive, reliable and cost-effective mailing services to support communications for multiple departments. Communications will include business licenses, court documents, utility notices, renewal forms, public notices and other time-sensitive materials sent to residents, businesses and other stakeholders. The Vendor will be expected to provide services on an as-needed basis throughout the contract term and must be able to scale service levels depending on order size and urgency.The City currently has a pool of six (6) contracts for mailing services that are nearing expiration (#4304, #4407, #4404, #4403, #4405, and #6215). Therefore, the City is seeking competitive bids to establish a new pool of contracts for mailing services to replace the existing expiring contracts. Over the past two years, the average annual spend for these services has been $1.2 million.These contracts will be available to all City Departments. Some of the highest users of mailing services contracts include: Seattle Public Utilities (SPU), Seattle Municipal Courts (SMC), Ethics and Elections, Office of Sustainability and Environment, Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT), Seattle City Light (SCL), Human Resources (HR), Finance and Administrative Services (FAS), License and Tax Administration (LTA) and Seattle Animal Shelter (SAS).
